The term “Wet Air Receiver” refers to the storage vessel or tank placed immediately after the air compressor. It provides additional storage capacity and reduces moisture by allowing bulk liquids to drop to the bottom of the receiver. Due to the moisture being reduced at this point in the system, the load on filters and dryers will be reduced.
