Business has been expanding in the New England region for Scales Industrial Technologies, to the point where more people are needed, as well as larger space to accommodate them.
So the company chose a talented, experienced new Sales Manager for their Massachusetts location…and soon after, moved the entire operation into a larger facility in Shrewsbury, MA.
“We are extremely excited to announce the hiring of Andre L. Narbonne as our Massachusetts operation’s sales manager” states Niff Ambrosino Scales’ Chief Operating Officer. Narbonne — a PE, CEM, and DOE-certified AIRMaster+ Specialist, as well as a proven sales professional — was the ideal choice to help Scales capitalize on numerous growth opportunities in the Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont markets. “Andre brings decades of sales acumen and industry knowledge to his new Sales Manager position,” says Niff Ambrosino, “He has a history of impressive successes wherever he’s worked, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to bring out the best of those on his team. We were very fortunate to acquire the services of someone with Andre’s qualifications as we take on this region’s exciting new challenges.”
Mr. Narbonne was equally enthusiastic about joining the Scales family. “My previous clients list technical excellence and responsiveness as the key reasons why I earned and kept their business,” he states. “This simple but critical focus perfectly matches the mission and strategy at Scales. I also like that it’s an employee-owned company, and that the majority of upper management started out working on compressors, then moved up through the organization. It gives the company a deep talent pool, and the drive to continually excel.”
The fact that the Department of Energy’s (DOE) sourcebook, Improving Compressed Air System Performance, and Best Practices for Compressed Air Systems, was in large part written by Scales’ President and CEO Bill Scales was another factor in Narbonne’s excitement about joining the company. So was Scales being a DOE Allied Partner, with more Compressed Air Challenge instructors and AIRMaster+ Specialists than any other organization in the world. Narbonne also likes the idea of working for a large yet independent company, which Scales is with five locations — New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts — and 180 employees serving customers in eight states. “Scales provides the strength of a large organization without the corporate inertia,” he emphasizes. It’s a company that’s all about compressed air rather than pleasing Wall Street for short-term gains, where everyone has a personal stake in clients’ long-term success and satisfaction. In other words, it’s my kind of company.”
Along with Mr. Narbonne, Scales also brought on an additional salesperson and service technician to join his team, and has hired several employees in their other four offices as well. “It’s a very exciting time for Scales,” notes Ambrosino; “we’re experiencing significant growth, and with the added talents of our newest members, I’m expecting more of the same for years to come.”
